In a serene forest, a flock of doves lived happily under the guidance of their wise leader, Chitragreeva. The doves always stayed united, avoiding dangers together.
One day, a hunter laid a net under a tree and scattered grains to lure the birds. Chitragreeva cautioned his flock, “Never fall for traps that seem too easy. Use your wisdom to see the bigger picture.”
Ignoring his advice, a few doves eagerly flew down and were caught in the net. The rest of the flock panicked. The hunter approached with a grin, confident of his catch.
Chitragreeva quickly devised a plan. “Let’s work together,” he said. “If we fly up at once, we can carry the net and escape.” Trusting their leader, all the doves flapped their wings in unison, lifting the net high into the air and out of the hunter’s reach.
They flew to a nearby tree, where a mouse, a friend of Chitragreeva, chewed through the net and set them free. The doves rejoiced, thanking their leader for his wisdom.
Betrayal Within the Flock
However, not all doves were grateful. One greedy dove, jealous of Chitragreeva’s popularity, began spreading false rumors about him. “Our leader only saved us to look heroic,” he whispered. “He doesn’t care for us.”
These lies caused unrest in the flock. Soon, mistrust grew, and Chitragreeva decided to leave. Without their wise leader, the flock fell victim to the hunter’s traps one by one.
